FLINT, Mich. - Enrollment for Baker Online increased by 85 percent fall quarter 2002 over the same period in 2001. The Baker Online student population of 2,563 students who take 100 percent of their classes online, now represents 48 states, eight countries and several undisclosed military locations.
More than 15,427 students throughout the Baker system took Baker Online classes during fall quarter, including not only the 2,563 undergraduate and graduate students who took 100 percent of their classes online, but also 4,694 students who combined online classes with campus-based classes and some 8,170 students who took campus-based classes which included some portion of coursework online.

Baker Center for Graduate Studies Posts 29% Increase
Baker College Center for Graduate Studies announced a 29 percent increase in enrollment, with 949 students enrolled fall quarter 2002, increasing from 732 students fall quarter 2001. A total of 828 Baker MBA students attend classes through the Baker Online.
"The growth of Baker?s MBA program is reflective of our ability to meet the needs of our students," said Mike Heberling, Ph.D., Baker College Center for Graduate Studies president. "Offering an online graduate program allows busy adults the opportunity to pursue their MBAs on their own time, from any location. The best example of that is our military students who check in from undisclosed locations throughout the world."
